About Me
Did you know that more than half of students rank college applications as their most stressful academic experience?
In a world where students and parents are expected to navigate the ever-changing landscape of standardized testing policies, understand nuances of the holistic review process, and manage the complexities of writing a strong personal statement, a capable college counselor dedicated to providing personalized support can make a substantive difference. I understand the pressures of balancing school and extracurricular responsibilities with college applications, and strive to provide emotional and tactical support to both students and parents while helping students gain acceptance to their best fit college.
I graduated from Cornell University in 2020 with a double major in Economics and Informatics. Since then, I’ve worked full-time as a Product Manager at a top tech company. While my professional journey has been in technology, I’m deeply passionate about the intersection of education, writing and mentorship. I’ve worked part-time as an independent tutor for 10+ years — I value the long-term relationships forged with students, taking pride in watching them mature in both their academic and personal development.
In 2020, I expanded my mentorship to guide students through the intricate process of crafting college essays, allowing me to leverage my passion for creative expression and writing. This is my favorite part of application process — I love witnessing the expansive ways that students perceive and engage with their communities, helping students discover their unique voice, and having meaningful discussions about how their experiences shape the way they want to engage with the world. My academic background at Cornell, where I took advantage of a range of English courses, and my part-time work at BookRags, where I specialized in writing literary analysis papers, uniquely positions me to assist students in writing. My professional experience in tech also positions me to specialize in students aspiring towards STEM careers.
Holding myself accountable to rigorous standards of continuous learning, I enrolled in the Rice College Counseling program in 2022, and I received my certification in College Access Counseling in 2024. This experience has not only deepened my knowledge of college counseling, but has also equipped me with invaluable knowledge on what makes a successful college profile. In 2026, I plan to continue my Professional Development through attending PNACAC’s Annual Conference to learn about important updates for the upcoming application cycle and connect with Admissions Officers in the PNW region.
I look forward to leveraging my diverse background to guide students through their college journeys. I’m so excited to meet you and collaborate with you!
“Linda is a talented writer. She provided invaluable assistance with my college essays by offering insightful feedback, helping me refine my ideas, and ensuring my writing was clear and compelling. I wouldn’t be in my dream college without her.”

Counseling Values
Holistic Development
College admissions is not the end of the student’s educational journey, but rather an integral first step. My method prioritizes personal and intellectual growth for holistic development as part of the college application strategy.
Self-empowerment
College is also often the first step towards student independence. My method strikes the right balance between a self-driven and intensive approach to college applications. In other words, I help set students up for success with the rigorous time management and diligence required to excel in college, while providing the structure, resources and expertise they need to navigate a complex application process, ensuring no detail is missed.
Authentic Storytelling
Your application is a portal for colleges to understand your character and unique perspectives, but it’s also an opportunity to find clarity within yourself. I encourage students to reflect inwards on their identity through authentic storytelling, encouraging a strong sense of identity and meaningful engagement with the world.
